The first three episodes of Star Wars: Andor It’s now streaming on Disney+, and fans of the series are thrilled to see Diego Luna again as Cassian Andor for the first time since then. “They tried doing two different versions of this show along the way. I wasn’t really interested, but the people who were trying it were feeling a little bit trapped in what we just discussed, this homage to Star Wars,” Gilroy explained. “But they were also kind of discouraged because the economy wasn’t in place for wide broadcasting at that point. The science of doing a show like that, there wasn’t anyone spending that kind of money on a show. Now, there’s a bunch of aircraft carriers floating around. around; this has become a natural thing,” he added with a laugh.
“But all the way, Cathy [Kennedy] One of the pilots who was thinking about him, but became quiet, sent me a message, and I asked my opinion, “Gilroy continued.” And in kind of… I don’t know. I had time. I was suffering from some kind of mania, so I enjoyed it for a few days. So I wrote this big statement for her. This is what your program should be. This is what you should never do. This is why this is not working. So it was a crazy thing, and it was very ambitious. And they were like, “Okay, that’s really cool. Thank you for helping us figure out what’s wrong, but we can never do that.” And then they tried a couple of other things, and when everything got cold, there was a moment, oh my God, there was a flow. Now we can really do that.”
Gilroy added, “So they went back and pulled out that old note, and they were like, ‘We want to do this now.’ collapsed, the only thing they definitely have is the audience. So it wasn’t overnight that you tiptoed forward. It took a long time. Everyone tiptoes forward, but that’s what happened.”
Andor It takes place five years before the events of rogue one Two seasons have already been confirmed and the second season is expected to go into production soon.
